Leading up to finals has been CRAZY! Here's my list of finals, and what the final actually is(along with other random information I feel like typing(like my schedule for this week leading up to the final):
Monday
Writing 10-1150: We actually had to write a new essay/"revise the 1st" with a new added idea to it, and turn it in this Friday. Monday during the actual scheduled final time is when we pick it up, so that's what I'll be working on when I finish posting my blog (4ish) until about 5. The paper isnt too bad, and I already have a small section done. I have to finish the rough draft for class tomorrow, where Dr. Welsch will read through it and tell me what I need to change, so that'll all get changed and I'll be done:)
Marching Band 4-6: Isn't going to happen...we finished with band two weeks ago:P
Tuesday
Brass Class 10-1150: The playing exam is actually this coming Thursday(mine is scheduled for 8:10AM) so that'll get done. The teaching exam is what's actually on Tuesday(mine is for 10:50). Apparently there's also something on Blackboard online we have to take, which I have to ask Dr. Wardlaw about still.
US History to 1877 Noon-150: VERY IMPORTANT FINAL! My grade literally rests in the hands of this test. I need a 98 just to get a C in the class, not kidding. Dr. Kennedy said that if we really showed improvement, she'd help us by adding a few extra points if its good. So I figured I could ask that if I really do well on the test(like an 85 or above) that even if she couldn't bring it up to a C, if she could bring it up to a low D(a D is passing, apparently? Unless its a music class which has to be a C or better or we can't move on) She seems like she would help out if I really begged her, which I might do.
JURIES(sometime after 4): Goodness gracious those juries. I have to fill in a paper online by Friday with all the music I've done this semester and turn it in to Dr. Register. No repretoiry sheet=no jury. No jury=not good!! I need to work on the third movement in my Hindemith piece, and the new Mozart/James Galway piece I got just before Thanksgiving. I also have to concentrate on major scales and definitely arpeggios.
Wednesday
Foundations of Musicianship 8-950-Easy as cake...not too worried about that one.
Piano 10-1150: The written test is tomorrow actually. It's not that bad, I just need to practice writing scale fingerings for a little bit, but thats it. The playing test is next Wednesday during finals week(my time is 10:24) which is scales, root position chords, chord inversions, and a couple songs with sight reading.
Thursday
This would be where my Applied Music Seminar Final and my Educational Psychology Final would be, but those no longer are Thursday. Actually, the seminar class is pass/fail, so all I have left to do to pass the class is type up my critique from the Phi Mu Alpha Concert, and submit it. As for Educational Psychology, most people weren't even going to take it because they'd still end up with an A, which I highly considered, but knew my parents would kill me if I skipped a final. So instead I asked the professor if I could take it during her other Ed. Psych class' final which was monday at 12. Apparently lots of other people asked, so she's now just giving us a Scantron Thursday, and then next Monday she'll post the test online, and we can turn the Scantron to her by the end of the week. So I'm doing that test AND turning it in Monday. So after piano Wednesday, I'm going home!:D
So my schedule for this week basically is class, writing homework, practicing, sewing the blankets for my cousin/aunt for christmas, eat, sleep, and A Phi O and orchestra. Thats like it:P I've literally made a detailed schedule of when I need to get things done for the rest of the week. Even if I only half keep to that schedule, everything will get done:) So now I'm going to go work. Toodles!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!:D
So I'm adding to my list of classes. this Winter I'm taking Human Biology, which is an online class. Also in the spring, I'm hoping to get into Intro to World Music OR Public Speaking(not required, but Wardlaw wants it on everyones degree audits). Now on to my writing paper!

May We Always Be...
Ok so the whole Ninja thing that happened outside of Nair....was so huge of a story that they put it in the Clarion University newspaper!!:D I got interviewed and they took pictures of us playing it last night and everything!!
School has been going extremely well...I'm enjoying it more and more. I'm now a pledge for Alpha Phi Omega(--Omega Mu). It's basically..a co-ed service fraternity originated by Boy Scouts...so its fun:P I havent gotten to do a lot yet, but we're going on a haunted bio-trail soon and when we go up to Edinboro for the football game, we're going to get to meet the APhiO brothers up there too. And if our team doesnt go into any sort of playoffs, we get to go to this conference(I dont remember where) in a few weeks. I'm super excited for everything with APhiO thats coming up.
I had midterms this week, which didn't go too badly. I have another midterm split into 2 parts next tuesday and thursday...I'm only slightly nervous for those. Tomorrow I'm super excited 'cause we're having a Tye-Dye party at Miranda's house for the flute section. It's going to be loads of fun:P
I....can't think of anything else at the moment to write. I should really update more:P

NINJA!
I have a lot to post...but for now...I have to write about tonight.
Tonight was the most EPIC night ever!:P...or well...this week at least haha. So there's this game called Ninja(which takes too long to explain, but long story short, you stand in a circle and then jump into a karate/ninja position and try to hit somebodys hand in one swift move. You're also allowed to move your arms when someone goes after you as a reaction) So yeah, we're playing Ninja(!) in Nair(co-ed dorm next to mine, which is called Wilkinson) on the 7th floor, and the fire alarm goes off! So we all rush to put shoes and jackets on, and bolt down the stairs:p So then we just went over to the parking lot and continued playing. After a while, a bunch of guys were watching and shouting stuff. Before you know it, all of Nair was standing in an almost half-circle(some apparently on each others shoulders) to watch us play Ninja. It was awesome!!!
I'm not going to write about my classes for now, since I just did that last week...and I actually don't have much else to write about at this time:P So I'll wait another week or something. I'm going home next weekend though!!:D

Take Me There
So I haven't updated in forever, and there's a lot to upload:P
I'm reading a book called Take Me There by Susane Colasanti, and it's pretty good so far, but I really haven't gotten far enough in it to form a good opinion.
So classes:
College Writing-Not bad. Yes, there's a homework due for every class, but its mostly opinionated essays or summaries and stuff. It's all one page responses to different essays people(including my professor) wrote. It's not too bad so far.
Foundations of Musicianship-Awesome. It's sooo easy so far and we haven't had very much homework in that class. Dr. Wells is awesome, and just kinda breezes through all the simple stuff so the music ed kids wont get bored, but will still stop and answer questions from the kids that never learned about scales and stuff.
Piano Class 1-Pretty good class...but since I can't do the whole playing with left and right hands at the same time thing...yeah it sucks sometimes. But I love all the people in my class, and Dr. Amrod is really nice and stuff and lets us repeat exercises like a million times so we can all get it:p
Marching Band-<3 I love marching band. Even when we're working our tails off, Dr. Toney still makes jokes and we goof off, and we have a good time. Though, we do still get everything done. It's so hard going from Big Ten military-type stepping to roll stepping. And I'm used to squads of four, not having my own spot that changes at random times:p But I'm getting used to it, so it's pretty cool now. Now I do see though why the band only did one show last year, and only moving to two shows this year. It's way harder doing shows this way:P But again, I love every minute of it...most times:P
Brass Class-This class is so hilarious:P I'm learning trombone right now...and it's so fun to just randomly hit different notes and not know what they are:P
Applied Music Seminar/Woodwind Studio/MENC-Yes...this is all one class..sort of. Applied Music Seminar is only scheduled for Tuesdays...but the actual seminar is every other tuesday. The opposite Tuesdays, there's a meeting for MENC(Music Educators National Conference) though now it's called something else that I can't remember off the top of my head:P Anyways, Thursdays are Woodwind Studio days..which are fun so far:P We just play different things and get critiqued on it..and I'm guessing we're going to learn other things too...but I don't know what yet:p
Educational Psychology-Boring....like whoa. I don't mind the information or anything, but its just too much for me. Its an hour and fifteen minutes every Tuesday and Thursday...and I get sooo tired when I'm in that class.
US History to 1877-Again, the whole hour and fifteen minute long class...following Ed. Psych. isn't so great. But I love history, so that makes up for it:p Its pretty cool...cause honestly you just come to class and listen to her talk and take notes. She doesnt give homework or projects or papers or any of that stuff. There's 4 test this whole semester...and those are the only 4 grades I get. I can remember history stuff pretty easily, so I'm hoping all is well there.
Flute Lessons-They're hard, I won't lie. But it's still fun to play more advanced music and everything. Although, I probably should consider practicing some more:P
Other than that, I just do homework and hang out with people. I'm usually never in my room, especially in the evening. I'm out until like 2am every night...with some exceptions:P Those exceptions meaning either I come in earlier because we all decided not to do anything, or I decide not to stay out for long, and then there's those few nights where I don't even sleep in my own room:P We get in huge cuddle parties, and just all crash on somebodys bed:P It's all in good fun though. I still do stuff with my band friends, like game nights and things. We all have a great time just enjoying college life:P Yeah thats all for now. OOh wait!
Movies!
All About Steve-Not too bad...but not the greatest "chick flick" either:p I'd watch it if someone else owned it and wanted to watch it...but I probably wouldn't buy it myself.
Gamer-AMAZING! I really want this movie...'cept it's still in theaters...so I can't get it yet:p It was a great movie:p

Fundamentals Week
So college is pretty amazing:D I moved in on August 23rd and have been almost constantly busy since then. We had marching band from 8am to 9pm, and then an activity afterwards until after 10. But it was amazing. Sunday was just a get to know you thing, Monday was a game called Train Wreck(almost like Never Have I Ever...but not really). Tuesday was....capture the flag? Which means Wednesday was Hide and Seek. Thursday was a Scavenger Hunt and Friday was the Cupcake/the game of Sardines party. All the other freshman moved in Friday which was amazing. My roommate Alexis is pretty awesome, even though we never see each other 'cause one of us is either gone or getting ready to leave:P
Classes are nice so far. I only actually got bored in two classes, which are both hour and fifteen minutes long. I can tell now that everything is going to be hard, but my music classes are going to be sooo much fun:P Even marching band is tiring and frustrates everyone, but I love it still:] I already have a good bit of work to do, and more is coming tomorrow =P
I've been having tons of fun here so far. Random game nights are tons of fun with Apples to Apples, Ninja!, Uno, Left Right Center, and other random hoo-ha(:P) I havent taken pictures yet though!(which is weird for me:P) so I'll have to take some soon. Well I have to get back to my Brass Class homework, so I'll post more another time.
Oh! And I'm not reading anything now 'cause I haven't had the time to read lately=\ And I still haven't finished my Disney vacation post...which I really actually want to finish..so I will work on it more soon.
